Verizon BlackBerry Tour 9630 gets the OS 5.0.0.732 update

As the title suggests, the BlackBerry Tour 9630 has gotten its OS 5.0.0.732 update, which is now up for grabs for anyone running an official OS. It has been expected for a while now and despite no release date had been announced before the update came out, everyone knew it was just around the corner.

Verizon is taking good care of its users by providing fresh updates for different devices all the time. No discrimination has been made this time either, the BlackBerry Tour 9630 receiving the OS 5.0.0.732 update along with the Bold 9560 (who got the same upgrade moments earlier). If the “New OS Available” alert is missed or does not show at all, fans can check for its availability by viewing the Wireless Update status, in the Advanced Options menu.

As regards the downloading of the update, there’s no shortage of possibilities here either. One can get it either directly from Verizon’s site or through Wi-Fi or desktop manager, depending on preferences and available connections. After the download, users should be able to enjoy a number of fixes, amongst them being Push-to-Talk and an update for the SMS/MMS messaging application.
