Ok, so the Dell Streak is a little too big for a phone and too small for a tablet, and the price is a little too high, but that did not stop the Streak from being a success. I guess it did not hurt that the Dell Streak is very much alone at this tablet-smartphone market crossroad. This holiday season, Best Buy is offering the Dell Streak for well under the average retail price at Best buy, bringing it down at just $99 on a two-year contract with AT&T. This is a really good deal for the smartphone/mini tablet device. The expiration date for this offer is not known.
Both the white and black Dell Streaks are eligible for this promotion, both version coming without FroYo, although we already know that Dell Streak will be getting an official update to Froyo soon as Dell confirmed that those who purchased the device through AT&T will have to wait until January to receive an update to Android 2.2.
So if you’re on the market for a small tablet (or a very big smartphone) that doesn’t under-perform when it comes to battery-life, this 5 inch screen should seem very appealing to you about right about now, especially at this bargain price.
