Zoho Companion For Firefox extension

The Zoho Corporation (formally known as AdventNet Inc.) is an Indian-based company launched in 2005. The Zoho Office Suite is a web-based online office suite containing word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, note-taking, project management, invoicing and other applications. Zoho’s utilities can be accessed via a web browser, availability that also comes with Internet Explorer and Chrome (see the download link placed at the bottom of the page). But if you want to access locally stored files more easily using Mozilla Firefox this is the place to learn how to do it with the Zoho Companion For Firefox extension.

First and foremost you must install the extension called Zoho Companion For Firefox. You can download the add-on here. To access the actual extension you must right click on the new status bar icon which will appear in gray if you aren’t logged into your Zoho account.

After you’ve logged in you will have the ability to access local files such as documents, spreadsheets, presentations, databases and other applications and use them in the online account. You can also use the Upload To Zoho option if you only want to upload files for later use.

To begin accessing your local files select Edit Local File from the new menu entry that changed after your log in.

We will show you how to upload a word document for editing,

and a presentation file.

In order to do so, you must browse through your locally stored files and select the ones you want to work with and then click the Open button to get started.

Notice the Upload multiple Documents To Your Account window which is quite similar to the download manager window.

And now check out how the word document that was uploaded earlier turned out.

Finally, if you want to change some settings from your Zoho Companion For Firefox you will modify them from this window, or you can simply reset them using the Reset Settings to defaults button if you want to go back to the original settings.

If you have worked with Zoho before and found it quite useful, you will definitely like the Zoho Companion For Firefox extension which will prove pretty helpful at least when you need to work with documents from your current location and use them later.
