Acer Liquid A1 Android 2.1 Upgrade up for grabs

The Acer’s Liquid A1 is a pretty good Android smartphone, offering a pretty good 768 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, some beautiful 3.5 inch touchscreen display with 480×800 resolution, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and last but not least the 5MP camera.

Because the Acer Liquid A1 is a little different from the other Android smartphones you can find out there, some like to compare it’s business model to the HTC Droid Eris (neither phone is top notch, but they are very “cute” and display an interesting bang-for-buck ratio). And things are about to become even better for A1 owners, now that the old Android 1.6 can be upgraded to the newer Android 2.1.

But don’t get grumpy because Acer thought this trough and offers an upgrade from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1 Eclair. Just one click away, head on to Acer’s Driver Download section, and it will be quite easy to find the Liquid (Smart Handheld > Liquid >Liquid and choose Android 2.1) from the drop-down menu.

Well I think is a smart idea offering the Eclair upgrade for this cute smartphone, so have fun using this upgrade.
