HTC Desire HD comes to Vodafone UK

Many look at the HTC Desire as device that really turned HTC into a top smartphone producer. So that’s one quality standard the HTC Desire HD should rise to. Add the fact that the HTC Desire HD has been unofficially branded by the HTC community as the “Global Evo”, and you could imagine just what kind of expectations people are having. In the UK, mobile network three and Vodafone UK have announced their prices for the HTC Desire HD Android 2.2 smartphone.

In the UK, mobile network Three made the HTC Desire HD available at the hefty “pay as you go” price of £449.99 or subsidized at £40/month (with The One Plan).

If you’re planning to get a HTC Desire HD from Vodafone, you have more plans to choose from as the Vodafone UK HTC Desire HD is free with a 2 year contract of at least £35, £99 for a £30/month plan and £199 for a £30/month plan.

Ok, the price tag on this baby is nothing light, that’s for sure, but the HTC Desire HD does come with a 4,3″ touch LCD, 8 megapixel camera (dual flash and 720p recording capabilities), 1.5 GB of ROM memory and 756 MB of RAM. It’s definitely one of the top Android 2.2 smartphones out there at the moment, but it remains to be seen if it can match the success of the original HTC Desire.
