This one can go either into “cheap awful clones” like the 7 inch aPad did, or it could turn out to be a great deal if you want a tablet, but don’t afford that expensive iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab. Some retailers seem to be selling a new, 8 inch version of the aPad, one that comes with Android 2.2 (yep, Flash 10.1 included), 512MB of RAM, and a Freescale iMX515 Cortex A8 800Mhz processor.
The 8 inch aPad also comes with a 1.3 MP camera, 4 GB of storage space (extensible via a TF card up to 32GB more) and, oh did I mention Android 2.2 ?
This 8: 209 * 161.5 * 14mm tablet definitely doesn’t have an attractive design but as far as the 8 inch aPad prices go, this website sells it for $218. Here’s a video from their YouTube channel (besides the subtle accent, you can also notice in this video that the touchscreen is actually not that responsive)
We didn’t get our hands on this one, but I wouldn’t be very optimistic regarding its quality as the previous 7 inch version of the aPad was among the worst buying choices anyone could make (as reflected in some online forums).
