Samsung Galaxy 2 i9100 leaked

Eldar Murtazin, one of the most popular mobile phone bloggers, recently got his hands on and had the pleasure to be playing with two of the latest rumored devices from the smartphone industry. Just a few days ago he was bragging about being able to operate the future Samsung Galaxy 2 GT-i9100 and Sony Ericsson’s next add-on from the Xperia family – the X12 aka Anzu.

According to Eldar, the Galaxy 2 i9100 has a dual core processor and it starts with the Android 2.1 OS, following that the 2.3 Gingearbread version to be pushed a little bit later. At a first look, Galaxy S’ follow-up seems to be related to what we’ve lately heard as being Nexus One’s follow-up, the Samsung-built Google Nexus two recently revealed as the Nexus S (all the more reason to assume there’s a connection between the two).

Whether the Galaxy 2 is going to have a “Nexus S” brother or not, one thing is for sure: in Eldar’s opinion it “so technically advanced”. And this guys played with all the smartphones you’d ever want to.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X12, codenamed Anzu, is the next addition to SE’s Xperia line. It supposedly packs a giant 4.3 inch display within an ultra slim shell. We first thought that SE is aiming to launch this device with the Gingerbread version of Android, but recently we learned that it is probably going to start shipping using Android Froyo in the first quarter of 2011. Considering how many problems SE encountered with their Android smartphones before, we have our reasons to be a little skeptical though.
