It seems that the Gamescom 2010 convention was the right place for Sony Europe’s CEO Andrew House to announce two new Playstation 3 (PS3) versions. The main tweaks that come with the new PS3 models are the Sony Move motion-sensitive controller and more storage space.
The cheaper of the two new PS3 models is already being released and packs 160 GB of hard drive space for only $299.99 (this is the current price for the 120 GB model) while the new PS3 mothership will come (release date: September 19) with the Playstation Move controller (and the required camera) and will pack 320 of hard drive space as well as some bonus titles.
With the new Move controller, Sony aims to steal some of the Nintendo Wii market. And if the Move-ready titles will manage to bring some of the Wii fun on the steamy-hot PS3 graphics and gameplay, the guys over at Sony will be congratulating themselves by the end of the Christmas shopping frenzy.
